19 January, 2017

BurJuman welcomes the arrival of the Year of the Rooster.

Dragon Dance will aim to entertain old and young alike, whilst bringing good luck for the new year.

BurJuman is set to celebrate Chinese New Year and mark the arrival of the Year of the Rooster with exciting performances. The mall has been decorated with traditional Chinese Lanterns to delight shoppers and mall visitors of all ages.

Visitors to BurJuman are encouraged not to miss the traditional Dragon Dance roaming throughout the mall at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm on 26th, 27th and 28th of January. A tradition of Chinese New Year celebrations, the Dragon Dance will ring in the Year of the Rooster by scaring away evil spirits, whilst bringing good luck to the audience.

Throughout the celebrations, visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the Chinese New Year themed décor located throughout the mall.

“One of the best things about living in Dubai is the number of different cultures calling the city home,” said a BurJuman representative. “Chinese New Year is more than a celebration of the new lunar year; it is also a celebration of Chinese culture and heritage. Visitors are encouraged not to miss the chance to join the fun and welcome the start of the Year of the Rooster.”
